The cocktail cabinet starts to take shape, the cedar lining is in place in the salon.

Lateral to the cocktail cabinet, we don't need the space for a heater as the Wallas stove has a fan built into the cooktop which takes the place of a diesel furnace (and of course eliminates the need for proane or LPG).

I have great difficulty understanding how Bill can cut these compound angles so well. The fit is quite excellent. Nice detail with the curve.

The slider for the bunk is in place and the bunk side is a beautiful piece of mahogany I picked up some time ago. I hadn't a clue what I would do with it and most folks likely wondered what it was about. Nevermind in the fullness of time............. it has a lovely grain and it matches almost perfectly the mahogany ply used elsewhere. The salon is slowly and inexorably moving towards a completion.

Praise where praise is due. Here was I complimenting Bill on his cedar fitting, when in actual fact I have discovered it was his son all along! Way to go, I must find out how you get all the screws ti line up perfectly. It looks great.
This piece of wood work has been giving me heart burn for some time, there must be an easier way to build it than the way I did it. Anyway I was quite pleased with the result although it took considerably longer than expected. We plan to put some lexan in the aft end of the scuttle so the light should reflect through. The glass is actually quite old and very pretty, the reds believe it or not are colloidal gold! I set the whole thing in polyurethane adhesive which is like a putty which sets, something to comtemplate at least when you are on the throne.
